
Rohatsu Weekend *ANOTHER CHANGE*
Each year on 8th December Buddhists all over the world celebrate the Buddhas Awakening. In the days leading up to this special event many temples and groups organise intensive practice periods of zazen. From Saturday 5 December up to the Rohatsu Tuesday the North-London group we will also offer extra opportunities to practice via Zoom in addition to our regular schedule of zazen. The enhanced schedule will be as follows:
- SATURDAY 5th December – 1/2 day ANOTHER CHANGE –WE WILL BE HOSTING a Longer Sit at North London This next weekend, as planned before but with a slightly different schedule (we got it wrong! the Lanau sitting was last weekend, not next weekend – days are confusing!)

8:00 – 8:30 – zazen
8:30-8:40 – kinhin
8:40 – 9:10 – zazen
9:10 – 9:30 – break
9:30 – 10:00 – zazen
10:00 – 11:15 – short ceremony, break, discussion, questions and answers
- Sunday, 6 December, 9.00 to 10:00 AM – regular Sunday zazen with Martin, followed by coffee chat
- Monday, 7 December, 7.00 to 8.00 AM – regular morning zazen with Ryan.
- Monday, 7 December, 19:30 to 21:30 PM – extended evening zazen with Lana – this will be silent, with no ceremony, and we will do sampai (3 prostrations) at the end
19:30 – 20:00 zazen
20:00 – 20:10 kinhin
20:10 – 20:40 zazen
20:40 – 20:50 kinhin
20:50 – 21:20 zazen
21:30 end
- Tuesday, 8 December, 7:00 to 8:00 AM – regular morning zazen with extended ceremony, Lana and Ryan

We recommend that those wishing to attend, commit to a full session of zazen at a time. But if you must arrive late or leave early, try to do so during kinhin or between zazen periods, as you would if you were attending an in-person session 🙂
