Tonight –  Saturday 5th March, 2016 –  Zen Film Night at the North London Dojo

When? –  after zazen, beginning at about 7:30pm

What? –

A DOUBLE FEATURE !  

First:  a documentary called “Ichi Daiji no innen…”  (the Great Matter of Life and Death) – Life in a Japanese Zen Monastery.  -this film is produced by  Hella Linkmeyer and is in English (with bits of translated German) – 1 hour long!

Second:  A replay of a classic  “Enlightenment Guaranteed”   “Two brothers want to get their screwed-up lives together by going to Japan for a retreat in a Zen monastery. En route, their midlife crisis turns into a midnight crisis when they get lost in Tokyo’s neon jungle and can’t find the way back to their hotel.” –  A funny, warming film in German (with English Subtitles) and well worth a 2nd viewing 🙂   – you can google it for more information

Bring:  your good self (even if you can’t make it for zazen) – and drinks and/or snacks to share
