The Brockley dojo in Southeast London will be hosting this event with Tenrin Bertrand Cailleretz, Zen monk, from Kanshoji Temple in France.
Introductory Afternoon – Time 13:30 – 17:00 on Saturday 9th February
Zen Day – Time 8:30am – 16:00 on Sunday 10th February
About Tenrin Caillerez
Bertrand Tenrin started practicing Zen in 1992 and became a zen monk in the year 2000. He is a disciple of Taiun Faure, abbot of Kanshoji Zen Monastery in France.
He first stayed with Taiun Roshi in La Gendronnière Zen Temple from 1997—2002.
He has since lived in Kanshoji from its foundation in 2002.
Bertrand Tenrin is the head gardener and responsible for the temple grounds and surroundings.

An afternoon of introduction to the practice of zen
Fee £15 Concessions available
The afternoon will include a short film, a presentation by Tenrin, an introduction to zazen, Zazen, and tea with an opportunity to ask questions about the practice.
Newcomers and experienced practitioners are welcome.

10 February 2019 Zen Day
An opportunity to immerse yourself in a day of zazen, the heart of zen practice
Fee £25 Concessions available
This day is dedicated to the practice of zen and zazen including the traditional ceremonies.
Those who are present on the Saturday are also welcome to participate, even for part of the day. Lunch will be provided.
Please wear dark loose clothing.
Please, also, if possible, bring your own zafu (sitting cushion) – we have only a limited number available
