DESCRIPTION:This will be a 2.5 day sesshin at Sheringham YHA in Norfolk led by Zen Nun, Maddie E Shin Parisio\nMaddie E Shin Parisio\nMaddie E Shin Parisio started to practice in 1996 and received bodhisattva ordination from Jean Baby in 1998.\nShe lived as a permanent resident at La Gendronnière Zen Temple in France for one year from 2006 to 2007. Having met Philippe Reiryu Coupey – a close disciple of Master Taisen Deshimaru – she became his disciple, receiving ordination as nun from him in 2007.\nMaddie is active as a respected teacher in the Sangha Sans Demeure and the British Sangha (IZAUK). She is IZAUK’s Membership Secretary. She lives in Norwich, England.\nDates:\nArrival: Friday 7th February from 16:00.\nDeparture: Monday 10th February from 15:00.\nIt is possible to stay on Monday night and leave by 10:00 Tuesday morning.\nLocation:\nSheringham Youth Hostel, 1 Cremer’s Drift, Sheringham, Norfolk NR26 8HX\nThe Youth Hostel is situated in Sheringham, off the A149 Coast Road, behind St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.\nThe Sheringham Youth Hostel is only a 5 minute walk from the Sheringham Train Station.\nHow to get there:\nTake the train directly to Sheringham. Trains from Norwich run once an hour.\nOther options include travelling via Norwich by National Express, or the very cheap MegaBus. Then travelling between Norwich and Sheringham by GreaterAnglia trains, or the X40, X44 or 44A bus services that run from central Norwich to Sheringham at regular intervals.\nIf you are planning to drive please check if you can share your car with others from your group.\nBlaBlaCar.com is a ride-share website, other public transport options may exist for you. Check Google maps, and click directions, then the ”transit” icon for more options.\nBring:\nDark, loose-fitting clothes for zazen and clothes for work in the kitchen, gardens, etc; a zafu if you have one (some will be available to borrow); a bowl, a spoon and fork, and a cloth (e.g. tea towel) to wrap them in, also a mug.\nCost (Pre-discount):\nRecommended: £150 (Friends); £165 (Non-members)\nLow Wage: £125 (Friends); £140 (Non-members)\nUnwaged: £100 (Friends); £110 (Non-members)\nSo that equipment and meals can be planned and to receive a £20 discount, please book before 24th January with full payment or a deposit of £25.
