DESCRIPTION:This will be a 2.5 day Zen Practice Retreat (Sesshin) In Sheringham, Norfolk\nMokuho Guy Mercier\nAbout the Teacher:\nGuy Mokuho Mercier began practising zazen with Master Taisen Deshimaru in 1973, becoming his disciple in March of 1976 after receiving ordination as a monk.\nAfter Master Deshimaru’s death in 1982, he remained active in the Paris sangha. From 1986 to 1991, he was again the tenzo at La Gendronnière, and became the head of the temple from 1991 to 1997.  In September, 2008, he received Dharma transmission from Sojun Matsuno Roshi in Takefu, Japan.\nToday, he is active in the AZI spiritual council and is the head of the Lanau Zen Centre near Saint Flour in the Cantal district of France.  He leads sesshins in France, Spain, Switzerland and England.\nArrival:  Thursday Evening 5th February – late afternoon but by 7:30PM\nDeparture: Sunday Afternoon 8th Feb – around 3pm (after lunch and samu) (do plan to stay to help clear up, we can use the extra hands)\nBring: Loose-fitting, dark clothing for zazen, a zafu (if you have one – some will be available to borrow), a bowl for food (with a spoon and fork) and a cloth (such as a tea-towel) to wrap your bowl in\nLocation:\nSheringham Youth Hostel, See Map – 1 Cremer’s Drift, Sheringham, Norfolk  NR26 8HX.\nThe Youth Hostel is situated in Sheringham, off the A149 Coast Road, behind St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, it is only a 5 minute walk from the train station.\nCost:\nRecommended: £130 (Friend of IZAUK) – £145 (non-member)\nLow-Waged: £105 (Friend of IZAUK) – £120 (non-member)\nUnwaged: £85 (Friend of IZAUK) – £95 (non-member)\nRemember, IZAUK members can apply for help from the bursary fund to attend sesshins – Contact Peter  with this form, for information.\nRegistration:\n1.
